MAKE AMERICA GREAT, GODDAMNIT.

it's the day after our so-called Independence Day, and I'm feeling oddly hopeful. Maybe it's the fact that I am surrounded by a good number of like-minded folks who know that this country was never great and are brave enough to state it out loud via poetry, art, protest, and Sunday dinner; maybe it's because I'm reminded every 10 minutes about how fucking dumb POTUS is and how his reign of terror will eventually come to an end (2020 has never looked better); it's really majorly because i am hella inspired by Therese Patricia Okoumou, the bad-ass immigrant WOC /national hero who climbed up to the robes of the Statue of Liberty yesterday to protest the separation of migrant families.

We ARE resisting ya'll. We are fighting and pushing and calling bullshit on this fascist administration's devastating and inhumane regime. There is alot of fucking nazis in this country, but there are also alot of decent human beings putting out the tiki torches these fuckers are lighting. I have faith that one day, I will sit on my wicker patio chair and tell LOML that I actually feel proud to call myself American. Til' then, I'm gonna keep writing and meme-ing and protesting TF out of Orange Hitler and his goons' audacious, tolerated depravity.
